Disability and the Criminal Justice System

This section of the website is devoted to a range of topics related juveniles and adults with disabilities who encounter the criminal justice system in any fashion.  The intent of this section is to provide useful information to various audiences, including school-based personnel, legal professionals, and others who have interest in this topic.   

A very valuable resource is housed on the website of the Meadows Center for the Prevention of Educaitonal Risk (MCPER) at the University of Texas at Austin.  The Disability and Criminal Justice Clearinghouse (DCJC) is dedicated to providing links to articles and other pertinent documents that relate to persons with disabilities who encounter the criminal justice system.   A link to this clearinghouse is provided below.
